Dr Irene Azavedo Fernandes was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She grew up in Goa,
India and completed her MBBS through the Bombay University. She practiced in Goa in paediatrics,
radiology and general practice. She obtained the FRACGP in Queensland and worked in rural Queensland for 20 years. The following are her areas of interest:

Mayoor was born in the smallest city in Wales, but is well travelled. His childhood was spent in Saudi Arabia, India and Wales, UK. Since 1999, he studied medicine at Guy’s King’s and St. Thomas School of medicine, London. After completing his Bachelor of Science and Medical degree (MBBS) he developed interests in in ENT and Colorectal surgery. He then chose to become a GP due to wanting to be able to put his varied skill-set to use and as he cherishes long-term relationships with individuals and their families. No matter how embarrassing the illness, he will make you feel comfortable. He has considerable experience working in sexual health and family planning clinics in
London and has completed his DRCOG (Diploma of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) from University of London. He worked in a low socio-economic area in central London for 6 years where he was much loved (https://www.iwantgreatcare.org/doctors/dr-mayoor-agarwal). He then had children and so decided to move to Brisbane. Since moving to Australia in 2019 he has developed a special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery and has been accredited after successfully completing HealthCert courses in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Melbourne. In addition he currently does weight loss management including injectables, ear micro-suctioning, iron infusions and Implanon insertion/removals. He does not shy away from complex management and is experienced in chronic disease management including asthma, COPD, heart and diabetes. His focus is always on preventive health and optimisation of patient risks. He speaks English and Hindi fluently and some Urdu. His favourite sport that he plays regularly is Badminton and he also indulges in Rebound Beach Volleyball. He also loves swimming in the ocean and flying his drone.

Dr Tapan Patel is an experienced GP having worked in the health industry for over 20 years. He has worked in the Emergency Department as CMO at Bankstown Hospital- Sydney. He started general practice at Coastal Medical Clinic- Coffs Harbour. Before commencing his own practice at Jindalee, he worked in General Practice at ATSICHS – Brisbane and as a Medical Officer with the Australian Red Cross Blood Services – Brisbane.

Dr Tapan Patel is a committed health professional towards his patients’ health and wellbeing. He undertakes continuous professional development activities to deliver best and evidence based health care. He is skilled in all areas of general practice including men’s health, family planning, paediatrics, travel medicine, skin checks, minor surgery, nursing home and end of life care.

Jay was born and brought up in London, England. He studied medicine at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Medical School. After completing his MBBS he worked in Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex and Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone, London. He speaks English, Gujarati.

He then went on to complete his GP training in Kent, England. This included rotations in ENT, paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Oncology and working in Palliative care at the Heart of Kent Hospice. He also went on to complete a Diploma in Practical Dermatology at Cardiff University. His interests include skin conditions, ENT and chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. He worked as a GP in London for 5 years which included working in the local accident and emergency department.

Since moving from the UK in 2015, he has been working at various medical centres in Acacia Ridge, Annerley, Mango Hill, Upper Mount Gravatt and now Redbank Plains. He also regularly attends his local aged care nursing home in Carina.

Outside of medicine, Jay enjoys spending time with his family. He also loves sports especially football and supporting his favourite team, Arsenal FC!

Dr Geetika graduated as a Doctor in 1999 in India. She moved to the UK in 2001 and trained to become a GP. She worked as a GP in the UK from 2008-2014. In 2014 she moved to Brisbane with her family and has been working as a GP in Brisbane since then. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.(FRACGP)

Dr Vandana Sehgal believes in and is passionate about providing holistic care in General Practice. She completed her medical training in 2003 in India. She moved to England in 2004 and undertook her postgraduate degree in General Practice, MRCGP in 2009. She also completed DRCOG in 2008.

She moved to Australia in 2015. She was awarded FRACGP in 2016. She is particularly interested in women’s and children’s health and mental health. She will work at the clinic on Wednesdays from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm.

Dr Punitha Sasalu, a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), is a highly experienced UK-trained General Practitioner with over a decade of experience.

She offers both standard consultations and if required longer consults and telephone follow ups, and has a keen interest in all facets of general practice, with a particular focus on preventative health screening, nutritional assessments and mental health assessments and treatments.

Dr Sasalu’s offers services in women’s health, adolescent and paediatric care, geriatrics, and chronic disease management.

She is committed to delivering comprehensive, holistic, and safe care to her patients via a thorough and personalised approach.

Dr Sharma was born in India and after completing her degree, worked locally for a year in medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology before migrating to the UK in 2001.

After finishing general practice training, Pratishtha worked in the UK for eight years as a GP, before moving to Brisbane in 2015.

She has a passion for preventing illness as well as treating current problems and giving people hope about tomorrow. Her special interest is women’s health.

Outside medicine, Pratishtha loves cooking, especially Indian and South Indian recipes. She also enjoys watching films.

Dr. Fahad is an experienced General Practitioner who has been caring for patients since 2014 and has been practicing in Australia since 2020. After gaining valuable experience overseas, he worked in rural Queensland where he developed broad expertise across all aspects of general practice. 

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and completed his medical degree in Georgia before practicing as a GP in India and later moving to Australia. 

Dr. Fahad is committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care, with special interests in: 

• Geriatric medicine 

• Chronic disease management 

• Diabetes management 

• Men’s health 

• Skin conditions 

• Minor surgical procedures (including toenail wedge resections, Implanon insertion and removal) 

With his approachable nature and dedication to continuity of care, Dr. Fahad works closely with patients to help them achieve their best possible health outcomes. 

Outside of medicine, he enjoys staying active through tennis and swimming. 

Udita is a dedicated visionary with a passion. She has a proven track record of driving innovation and growth. Her background is in practice strategic planning, staff development and financial management. She has completed “Bachelor of Nursing” from Griffith University & works as a practice nurse. She believes in providing patient-centred care with dignity and respect.
