Welcome to MedStar Medical Centre! If you’re a new patient, kindly bring along a valid Medicare Card and Photo ID. To streamline your experience, we request that you arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled consultation to complete a New Patient Registration Form. Alternatively, you can conveniently access this form online and bring it with you to your next appointment.

Our appointment scheduling ensures that each patient is allocated 10-15 minutes, with every effort made to accommodate your preferred time. Please note that emergencies will receive priority attention. For those requiring more extensive consultation, extended appointment slots are available upon request.

When scheduling your appointment, please inform our reception if your visit pertains to minor surgery, medical assessments, work cover matters, pap screening, test result discussions, or necessitates an extended appointment.

While we strive to adhere to our daily appointment schedule, the nature of healthcare sometimes leads to unforeseen delays, particularly with urgent and complex cases. If you observe that we might be running behind schedule, we encourage you to check with our reception staff for updates.

In our commitment to delivering top-notch medical care to all patients, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in instances where delays occur. Given that there are often patients awaiting appointments, we greatly appreciate your prompt communication if you’re unable to make your scheduled appointment. Please be aware that failure to cancel a doctor’s appointment in advance may result in a fee.

Fees

At MedStar Medical Centre, our esteemed medical practitioners operate on a FULLY BULK-BILLING basis for their services for valid Medicare card holders. Fees for private health fund patients, iron infusion, toenail excision, commercial driver’s licence and some skin procedures. For additional information regarding fee structures, we recommend reaching out to our dedicated reception team. They will be more than happy to provide you with further details and address any inquiries you may have.

Prescriptions, Referrals and Medical Certificates

At MedStar Medical Centre, we strictly adhere to Australian legislation, which mandates that prescriptions or referrals can only be provided subsequent to a scheduled consultation. We uphold the utmost professionalism in our services and believe in according them the appropriate consideration they warrant.

It’s important to note that any form of medical certificate carries legal significance and mirrors the expert judgment of our physicians. To ensure accuracy and integrity, our doctors issue Sickness and Work Cover certificates when necessary, and these typically necessitate a consultation arranged through an appointment.
